Hello, world!

I'm thrilled to take a moment to introduce myself and give you a sneak peek into my life. My name is Michelle Tomlinson, or you can call me “Shelly”, and I'm on a journey to discover and share my experiences, expertise and passion for all things real estate with all of you. So, grab a cup of coffee, get cozy, and let's get to know each other a little better.

 

Who Am I?

I'm a 52-year-old Real Estate Agent. I was born and raised in Rhode Island, and I am still here. My roots trace back to a small town called North Smithfield, where I grew up and spent some of the most formative years of my life. My journey has taken me through various twists and turns, leading me to where I am today, and I have to say I am exactly where I want to be.

 

My Passions

I love my career in Real Estate, I write that with a huge smile on my face because I spent decades doing a JOB that I hated. I don’t have to say the ugly word JOB anymore because I love what I do and when you feel that way it no longer feels like a JOB, and that is the greatest feeling.  I love spending time with loved ones and friends. I am passionate about volunteerism and volunteer at The Hotel for Homeless Dogs in Cumberland, Rhode Island as a dog walker. I leave every time a better person than when I arrived because I get so much out of the time I spend with the dogs. I am an outdoors type of person and can often be found walking through the woods exploring and if I am being honest sometimes, I need to be found because I go off trail more often than I should admit to, that’s the adventurous part of me. I love traveling, museums, old churches, beaches, mountains and forests. I have a bucket list that is pages long.

My Adventures

Life is an adventure; I travel as often and as far as I can whenever I can! I'm always up for exploring new horizons. From Arizona to Italy, I've had my fair share of exciting journeys. I believe that every adventure, big or small, adds a unique chapter to the Book of Life, and I'm excited to share these stories with you. I have taken Hot Air Ballons rides, Helicopter rides and have even gone Skydiving. I have traveled solo numerous times which is a unique adventure, I recommend everyone try it at least once. Traveling solo is amazing but some of my best adventures have been with family and friends.

Thoughts and Musings

Aside from my personal experiences, I'm also a deep thinker and love to ponder life's big questions. I also love to laugh and look at the lighter side of life, I believe it’s not just good for the soul but necessary. Through my blog, I hope to engage in meaningful conversations about all things Real Estate as well as engaging entertaining topics that will interest my readers. I'm eager to hear your thoughts, learn from your perspectives, and grow together on this journey.
